Great service. Honest and fair and are great about explaining things to you. Ken is terrific to work with and he was recommended to me by a friend. I now do the same for my friends.

I usually don't post reviews, but Ken was amazing - friendly, courteous and honest. I went to my dealership to get my mini cooper fixed, and they strongly recommended replacing a part that was outrageously expensive. I called Ken just to confirm if it really needed to be fixed, and he went out of his way to research the part and guidelines on their website. He scheduled me in the next day at 8 am to take a look, and he did, at no charge. He confirmed that my car was in great condition, and nothing needed to be replaced. He prevented me from paying $$$ on something that wasn't needed. Thanks Ken, you are awesome!

For anyone that owns a German car, Ken is simply the best in the Bay Area. I live in the City (Marina) and drive to Pleasanton just for his team to work on my car. Ken and the team are detail oriented, extremely honest, and really good at their jobs. Their pricing is extremely fair and (perhaps most important) they stand behind their work. I just moved back from the East Coast and really don’t know much about a car. I own a BMW 335 – which is expected to be high maintenance. In the last two years, I have taken my car several times to Ken for normal wear and tear issues. Most recently, it had a problem with one of the modules that was extremely hard to diagnose. Ken and the team worked on my car for as long as necessary to make sure they could get a “correct” diagnosis and fix the problem properly. Any other mechanic would have likely charged me 2x what Ken charged or would have given up eventually (and recommend me to a BMW dealership). Ken and his team worked persistently and fixed the problem properly. I never feel the need to ask ahead of time what the cost because I know he is fair. He will never recommend extra work unless it is necessary. He spends the time to explain to you what you need done and why (as well as answer your questions/concerns). I STRONGLY recommend taking your car to SAS German Auto if you own a German car & live in the Bay Area.

Excellent service. They fixed a problem with my Audi S5 convertible top within 30 minutes ahead of the holiday weekend on my very first visit. I will be a lifetime customer!

2002 Porsche 911 4S wouldn't start and I was told that it appeared to be the fuel pump. Fuel pump was changed and car ran normal for two weeks. Then it wouldn't start again and left me stranded at work for the second time. SAS found it to be a bad fuel pump relay. Ken stated that the old (bad) fuel pump had reduced the life of the fuel pump relay causing it to fail. While troubleshooting, Ken installed a new crankshaft sensor which I was not charged for nor was I charged for the relay. I will continue to take my car to SAS
